Handy for a farm-shop lunch and a tea stop, but the food sounds hit-and-miss.
The long read worth saving for nap time
What’s it actually like?
New House Farm Shop is part farm shop, part tea room, with strawberry PYO mentioned in reviews too. It sounds more like a useful family stop than a full day out, which is fine by us when the tea is hot and the parking is easy. The wins are practical ones: plenty of parking, a bright seating area, spotless loos, friendly service and reasonable prices on some items. Several reviewers liked being able to shop and eat in one go, and the scone-and-tea combo got a particularly strong showing. The wobble is the food. A couple of reviews were really unimpressed, calling it bland, basic and not very fresh, with one family facing a long wait when it was busy. So: decent for a pit stop or casual lunch, but don’t go in expecting clever cooking or brilliant value every time.
