How we rate
Honest ratings, built for parents
Google ratings tell you if a place is popular. We tell you if it's actually worth the drive with kids in tow.
Two scores, not one
Every venue gets two separate ratings: a Kids score and a Parents score. Because a place that sends children wild with excitement might also have a two-hour queue, a £15 car park, and no decent coffee. Both things matter.
What goes into the Kids score
Four things, weighted equally:
- Fun factor — How excited do kids actually get? Do they want to stay longer?
- Age fit — Does it work for the ages you're bringing? We flag the sweet spot.
- Engagement — Is there enough to do, or does it wear thin after 20 minutes?
- Replayability — Would you go back? Or is it a one-time tick-box?
What goes into the Parents score
Also four things:
- Value — Is the price fair for what you get?
- Ease — Parking, prams, getting in, finding toilets. The stuff that makes or breaks a day.
- Facilities — Baby change, food on site, shelter if it rains.
- Stress level — Honestly, how much is this going to test you?
Where the data comes from
We pull Google reviews, visit reports, and parent feedback — then run everything through our scoring model. We don't accept payment for ratings. A venue can't buy a better score.
The price band
We flag every venue as Free, £, ££, or £££ based on adult admission. Because knowing a place is great is only half the picture — knowing if it fits your budget is the other half.
The age sweet spot
Every venue has an age range where it really clicks. We call this the sweet spot. A toddler soft play and a high-ropes course both have their audience — we just tell you which is which.
