The long read worth saving for nap time
What’s it actually like?
Kidz Planet sounds like a properly substantial soft play rather than a cramped, soul-sapping one. Reviewers mention a big space, different play zones, big slides, cars, and sections that suit a range of ages. It’s clearly the sort of place where a toddler can disappear happily for an hour while you keep one eye on them and the other on the clock. The best bits are the value and the scale. Several parents praised the price, with one paying under £16 for a toddler, baby and two adults, and others noting longer weekday sessions for the same money. Staff get strong marks too, especially for birthday parties, and the coffee and general food offering sound better than the average soft play muck-up. It isn’t perfect. One review described a shabby reception experience, poor maintenance, and a very limited under-2s area, while another wanted more sensory-style equipment for babies. The outside of the building could do with a refresh, and the food sounds very much like standard soft-play fare rather than anything worth a special trip. For older primary kids, the appeal tails off a bit.
