Brilliant slides and decent value, but peak-time crowds and hygiene can be a proper faff.
The long read worth saving for nap time
What’s it actually like?
Coral Reef Waterworld is an indoor water park with a clear family focus: splash areas for smaller children, bigger slides for older ones, and enough going on to keep most ages busy for a 90-minute session. Reviewers mention the pirate ship, bubble pool, rapids, fountains and a range of slides including Cannon, Maelstrom, Poseidon’s Peril and Storm Chaser. The good bits are easy to see. Families liked the warm water, the clean pool area on better days, the attentive lifeguards, and the fact that there’s a café with pool views so parents can at least pretend to relax. Several reviews also praised the changing facilities, lockers, and straightforward booking, with one family calling it very good value for money. The catch is that it sounds heavily dependent on when you go. Half-term and weekend sessions can be crowded, with long queues, limited space to move, and some very grumpy experiences at entry. Hygiene is another mixed bag: some found it spotless, others described filthy changing rooms and toilets. In short, go off-peak if you can, and don’t expect a serene spa day in trunks.
Two-minute orientation
Quick read
Indoor waterpark with a strong mix of gentle splash areas and proper thrill slides. Best for families with preschoolers through tweens, especially if you book off-peak. Great facilities on a good day; miserable queues and dirty changing rooms on a bad one.
