The long read worth saving for nap time
What’s it actually like?
Birdworld is, unsurprisingly, all about the birds — and the reviews suggest it does that very well. Families mention a big variety of species, close-up encounters with penguins and toucans, and plenty to look at for children who like animals, facts and a bit of wandering around. The newer family-friendly bits sound like the real crowd-pleasers: the Play Barn, Treetops Adventures and the indoor play zone all get strong praise. There’s also food on site, and at least some reviewers found it decent, which is always a small but important victory for parents. The main downside is price: several visitors felt it was a bit on the expensive side, even if they still thought it was worth it. One reviewer also noted that some enclosures are more functional than scenic, so this is not a place to go expecting immaculate landscaping first and birds second.

Quick read
Loads of birds, from penguins and toucans to plenty of lesser-known species. The new indoor play areas are a big win for families, especially in wet weather. Value is the main gripe: people clearly love it, but it doesn’t come cheap.
